WEIGHTY DISADVANTAGES
The figures are in and almost 50% of us in the Western World are battling with the bulge. While it may not seem a problem initially by putting on a few pounds around the girth the medical world begs to differ. We are advised that our chances of the onset of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and a shortening of our life can be a consequence of that the weight gain. Social mores are also likely to kick in. People who are overweight tend to be categorized as lazy because they obviously cannot look after themselves. This can be difficult if you are looking for a job. A recent test conducted by a news program highlighted that overweight women were ignored when trying to get service in a dress shop. I could go on but all I will achieve is that you will become miserable and possibly seek solace in more food.
IS THERE HOPE?
Daily we are bombarded by the latest diet fads. In many instances that is all they are a fad and disappear as fast as they are announced. The simple diet methods are based on healthy eating and getting some exercise. The exercise regime does not necessarily mean long gymnasium workouts or running 5 to 10 miles a day. Walking is a sensible exercise and can be done by most of us. We can start simply by walking around the block and slowly build it up to a half an hour a day for a minimum of three days a week. For those who are younger interval resistance training can be part of the routine but again moderation at three times a week at 15 minutes a session may well be sufficient. Who wants to spend hours in a gym in fact many of the exercises can be done at home using a wall or a bench. It would be well advised that you get a medical examination before you commence any sort of exercise routine. Many times you hear of someone running and dropping dead because they have overdone it. Don’t become a statistic – the ides is to reduce your shadow size rather than provide no shadow at all. Which then leads us to the actual diet.
THE DIET
Here is where it becomes interesting – there are so many diets to pick from that it all becomes confusing. This site has initially picked two diet plans which have been proven over a period of time. Both can be accessed from the footer to this page by clicking “Burn The Fat“or “Diet Solution“. Burn The Fat was highlighted in Oprah’s magazine and is the one used by many celebrities. Why not have a look as there are videos attached to each plan that may even give you some clues. Most diets are based on sensible eating but this also includes some sacrifice. No longer can we consume fatty foods with gay abandon. That’s where the choice of diets come in because some will make their choice of foods exciting, interesting and very tasty. Some diets depend on a very high protein regime and others where the devotee will soon tire of the lettuce leaves and celery sticks. The diet needs to be well balanced and allow treats so that the dieter is not readily enticed to break the diet. Tasty dishes and variety will see the dieter prevail.
